Since the establishment of the Foundation in late 2002 we have received invaluable support from the general public, individual community leaders and business houses. On behalf of the Stephen Sanig Foundation Inc., I would like to most sincerely thank each and everyone. Without their support the foundation would not be able to continue with our goal of raising greater public awareness and knowledge of meningococcal disease.

The staff of the following branches of the ANZ bank have truly dedicated themselves in the support they offer the foundation. They assist in the most practical of ways from bagging the foundation logo bears, to selling them and raising the much needed funds to continue with the production of educational material.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Charity Golf Day Friday March 3rd 2006

The Foundation joined forces with Morisset Rotary to host our first Charity Golf Day in support of Meningococcal Education and Research.  The field was lead by Jack Newton, a meningococcal survivor himself and a bevy of guest celebritites including, Ray Price, Colin Bond, Mick Poole, Brett Mullins and Gary Freeman. Funds raised from the day have been used to produce and distribute 50,000 educational symptoms magnets.  The Stephen Sanig Research Institute benefited with the purchase of a Hematrocrit Inverted Microscope - Crogenic Tanks - Automatic Pipettors - CCD Digital Video System

A special thank you to "Jims Computer Services" of Morisset, who kindly donated a computer for our raffle.

The Grand Hotel, Wyong hosted a special comedy & auction evening on 17 th April, 2004 Headlining Steady Eddy and his amazing sense of humour. We are once more indebted to the support of the local Central Coast Community, the following business houses all contributed goods towards the evenings auction.
